When you have a infant, and you are bathing them, you tend to feel horrible bathing them when they are shivering and crying. She enjoyed playing with it in the tub and wore it around as a cape, the little feet are perfect for cape wearing. I love the size of the bath luve. It was perfect for baby bug to play with and covered all of her back up. I can see how it would be a great cover up to keep a young baby comfortable during bath time. Those sweet little ones can get cold so fast this is an easy solution! When baby number two comes around this will be a must have during those first bath times. One of the things that I was briefed on before leaving the hospital with my daughter when she was born was bath time safety. I was told that since babies can’t regulate their temperature that a warm washcloth is supposed to be kept over their bodies during baths. When Dylan and Riley were little tiny babies (not the *gasp* toddlers they are today!), their bath time was a special bonding time, but I worried about that cold air on their tummies. Bath Luve would have been GREAT for my twins when they were little because they would have been covered (including privates) with the warm and fun cloth. I tried to cover them with a washcloth, but they were too small and also too thin - they would cool quickly, so they didn't serve the purpose.

Big Weston Loves Bath Time!

When I first saw the Bath Luves, I knew I needed to get one for baby Weston. I hate it when little babies get so upset about baths . . . but they can’t just stink either, so I thought this might be the perfect solution.

Weston is the biggest baby we’ve had and also the stinkiest. I think the one has to do with the other, but whatever the reason, he needs baths more frequently than some babies. He despised the process so much that I resorted to getting into the big bathtub myself and then bathing him in my lap. However, he still fussed when he would get cold. So when the Bath Luve arrived, we thought we would see if it made a difference.
We did not follow the directions but instead laid it across the baby like a blanket, then poured the bath water over the top to keep him warm. (You are supposed to wet it first!) It seemed to work wonders and we refreshed the warm water several times during the process. I love how the little legs cover his shoulders and help the Luve stay in place. And the little face was perfectly positioned so that we could take pictures without flashing his privates everywhere and would have been great when he was a little smaller at keeping him from shooting a stream of urine out all over the room!

Bath Time is the Best

"So My little Reesie Pie used to LOVE Bath-time. When I say LOVE I mean LOVE! He was in fact so enthusiastic about his baths that I literally had to wear my raincoat to bath him...I also had to line a good five foot radius in-front of the sink in towels. Great memories- we have some terrific pictures and videos.

BUT...Matt and I have been doing some remodeling...and when we re-painted the kitchen we had to move Reesie's bath time & tub from the kitchen sink to the big bathtub. This is about the time that the bath dream turned into a bath nightmare for us.

Reese started hating bath time to the point were it literally took both my husband and I to bath him... he fought us so hard. We tried taking snacks in the bath (the kid loves to eat), we tried toys, nothing worked. He wanted out before he was even in...so I when I came across a product called Bath Luve and knew I had to look into it.
I have to admit...at first I was skeptical....and I wanted to try it more than once or twice (just in case it was a fluke), but I have to say it works. It actually buys us enough time to bath Reese, even wash his hair. He doesn't even freakout. Now bath time is still not the way it was, but it is so much better.

"When Elliot was younger I had a lot of trouble during bath time. He would just scream and cry every time from the very moment he was placed into the tub. We tried everything: temperature monitors, toys and even smells to try and keep him calm. As he has gotten older things have changed and he is more normal during bathtime. One of the things we found that really made a difference was the Bath Luvē.

I found that by covering baby El' with the Bath Luvē, he felt more secure than being completely naked. It also seemed to help keep his top front from becoming chilled while in the tub. We still even at 5 months use the Bath Luvē at every tub time and will continue to do so.

I also am very fond of being able to toss the Bath Luvē in the wash, right along with my towels and wash cloths. It can also go right into the dryer. This has been through the wash many times and still looks almost as new as the day it was opened. See below a first day picture and one from just three days ago. Can you tell the difference? Introducing Baby to the Big Tub

That first bath is a big step, and another big transition is when baby starts sitting up in the big tub. Bath Luve offers the same comfort and warmth for sitting babies as well -- making sure bath time remains a warm, fun part of the day. Spring is definitely here finally! It's fun to open my inbox to find blog reviews from all over the country. Ethel in New Jersey, blogs at luvtosave.blogspot.com and recently tried the Bath Luve for her sweet daughter Emma.

"What I love about Bath Luve is that the size is perfect. It is not too big or small. It covers Emma's shoulder, chest, stomach and private area. And it still allows her to move her arms and legs. For the first time, she actually played with the water, splashing and kicking. I actually did not mind her staying longer in the water. It kept her warm and comfortable. I also like that is very soft."

Ethel and her family tried the "washcloth solution" for their older daughter, Olivia. She said the washcloth was too small. Her husband said "there has to be a better way." Thanks Ethel for saying there is a better way with Bath Luve!

I was so excited to hear from Fiona in the U.K. A U.S. friend of hers sent her a Bath Luve, and she sent an e-mail asking about ordering some for baby showers in England. In our correspondence, she sent this sweet picture of her little English Rose -- Darcy Rose. She's six weeks old and has been enjoying her baths. Fiona says her daughter shivered in the baths before Bath Luve. "But not anymore! She loves her Bath Luve!"

Melanie Conklin, a product designer from near New York City, wrote about the Momtreprenuers trend and how, especially in this economy, many moms are striking out on their own to replace their job or create new revenues for their families. Melanie sent me a note to use Bath Luve as an example -- of course I was happy to do so! I love encouraging new momtreprenuers on their journey!

One thing Melanie wrote which really hit home was "This mom took advantage of her experience as a consumer and it will most likely translate into success, unlike companies who enter markets with which they have no real connection. A lesson for the future of business = be true to your passions, for only then will you offer consumers a product that connects with theirs!"

It's true that my passion is for families and the quality time they spend together. It's amazing how rewarding it is to offer a product which helps parents and babies during the stressful times of bathing in the early months.

Bath Luve is a Hit in Hawaii

Kailani, a blogger from Hawaii, just posted a great review about Bath Luve at her blog at islandlife808.com. Kailani writes about the concerns many parents have about bathing baby:

"For me, giving baby a bath has always been a stressful time for me. I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s because I’m always worried that she’s too cold, too hot, too slippery, too uncomfortable. An update on Kael, our family friends' little baby: he's doing great and is now 52 days old, after being born early. He's still in the NICU at the hospital but is growing stronger and bigger every day. His mom says he's filling out his Bath Luve and now weighs 4 lbs. 10 oz.

We're so happy to report his progress and to hear from his parents on how the Bath Luve has helped him stay warm during baths at the hospital. As you can see he's finally grown bigger than the Bath Luve Buddy! I love the photo of him holding on to his Bath Luve too!

Bath Luve helps out at the NICU

Our friends Beka and Derek were blessed, a little early, with baby Kael. He's currently still in the NICU, where he's been cared for since being born at 26 weeks and 2 lbs, 4 oz. Although he's in the hospital, he's already enjoyed his first Bath Luve bathing experience. "It will be fun to watch Kael grow into his Luve," wrote Beka in an e-mail with his adorable photos. Kael is now 32 weeks old and weighs 3 lbs, 7.1 oz. We're so proud of his progress!

It's so difficult for families to have their littlest ones in the hospital, and I know Beka, Derek and big brother Logan are anxious to have Kael at home with them. I'm already working on developing a preemie-size Bath Luve for our tiniest bathers.

Kevin Costner (yes, the Kevin Costner) visited Milwaukee several months ago, and I had the opportunity to meet him in person. Since I knew he and his wife were expecting, of course I had to send him home with a Bath Luve! I hope their little boy enjoyed his warm, cozy baths. Congratulations Kevin & Christine!

"No more chilly baths is right! None here when it comes to my almost 2 year old son Tristan taking a bath. This product was great for my son even though he isn't an infant, he is still very small because he was a preemie. This Bath Luve will serve a great purpose when Tristan has a cold and needs a hot bath, we can still lay the Bath Luve on his chest or back. I love the fact that this product is great for other preemies, like my son Tristan. I received an e-mail I had to share -- from mother of three, Brooke, about the Bath Luve.

I was so moved to get a letter about little Jonathan, a very special little boy who received a Bath Luve with an online baby shower sponsored by Candice Broom at www.mommosttraveled.com. Jonathan's dad sent me a note, excerpted below, to tell the story about how Jonathan came to be a part of their family via adoption. Bath Luve is happy to be just a small part of Jonathan's wonderful story.

Jonny's birth mother was young and not able to care for him, so before he was born, his parents agreed to adopt him. They live overseas and had to work very hard to complete the paperwork in preparation.

About one month before Jonathan's due date, everything was finalized. He was delivered via C-section and then the family found out from a nurse there was "a little problem." They found out it was boy and he was missing half of his arm but was otherwise healthy.

"Our hearts dropped at the unexpected news, we mumbled that we needed to go outside and rushed out into the night. Crying, we held each other and talked about what we were going to do, even though we both already knew the answer. We called our country director and his wife and they came down the hospital to be with us. In those moments we saw all the pain that this poor child was going to experience because of his disability, and all the pain that would fall on us because we loved him. It was overwhelming. But we knew that he was here on this earth, and though we could make him disappear from our lives, he wasn’t going to disappear. We went back upstairs and held our little boy for the first time, and completely fell in love. "

"But we both know that we would do it all again in a heartbeat for our little boy. At first I thought he was a very lucky child, but every day that I spend with him, I realize more and more that I am the lucky one, not him."

"Colby hated having a bath... actually Colby hated anything that had to do with having no clothes on (still not crazy about the naked thing). So my Mom bought him a Bath Luve. It is made out of towel material. You just warm it up in the bath water and put it on the baby. It covers him from his shoulders to his private parts, so his core stays warm. My sister-in-law, Allison, said the Bath Luve has really helped my nephew, Owen, enjoy his bath time, especially when he was so small and easily startled. I've been so excited these last few months to network with other bloggers throughout the blogosphere. So...I've decided to start a Bath Luve blog to be able to share news about my journey as an entreprenuer as well as updates about Bath Luve. I'm also looking forward to trading links with all those great mom blogs as well as offering information on helping baby's bath time be a fabulous bonding time for moms, dads and their little ones.
